Happy 4th of July - 2008

Well the summer of 2008 is officially half over but not without great celebration. This year marked the second reunion of the Morgan family. Ryan's mom family gathered for a weekend of fun, food and more food. We are looking forward to 2010- the next time we reunite....

Alyson and Maddie enjoyed the weekend even though a 103.7 temp limited Aly and mom from attending the opening evening festivities. But we rallied for the 4th and our little sparkler was a star.

Shark Attack

Well the weekend was full of fun and excitement as we watched the screens on the new deck go up. With all of the mosquitoes this year - the porch will be a welcome retreat...

But the reason for the title of this entry is because of the hilarious things that Alyson does.... She decided that in order to watch one of her favorite shows, she needed to wear her shark hat. This was not the first time she has put the hat on to watch TV but the first time I caught her in the act and had a camera handy... And do you love the pants not fitting - she is just the peanut.

But the weekend wrapped up very nicely with visits from Grandma Karolee and Nana and Ah-Pa Griffin. Grandma got special one-on-one time as mom and dad tried to find some patio furniture - not so fun.

Than Nana and Ah-Pa came over for dinner. Clearly the best part of the evening was the 10 minutes before bedtime. She decided that instead of her Jammies she preferred a fleece vest and a hat - no sooner were they on and off she went - "Bye" was the comment - absolutely hilarious. And treasured times always.

Really looking forward to getting past the tantrums she is showing quite consistently.. but regardless, the cutest pa-tutest in the world..

I have my own table and chairs

Well lookie me - I have a new place to sit and eat. Mom and dad were getting sick of me fussing everytime I had to sit in my highchair and so for my 18 month birthday - they gave me a table. I even helped mom put it together (of course dad had to help in the end). Can you believe I am 1 1/2?

Pupperlove turns 8

Maddie celebrated her 8th birthday yesterday. We had a great day starting with a birthday song from the neighborhood kids outside. It was a beautiful day out - our first one in a while and Madders enjoyed sun and fun with the kids. She got a special meal from daddy at dinner time and than her and Aly had cupcakes to celebrate. We all sang and blew out the candle. Than off to eat or should I say inhale. 2 seconds was all it took. seemed like 2 hours for Aly to finish but she shared her leftovers with Maddie.


The next night - we kept the celebration going - Puppers opened presents and they had cupcakes again. I think both of them would like to have birthdays every night. Well the family b-days are just around the corner... Daddy celebrates a week from Friday.

Anna's 2nd Birthday Party

Aly went to Anna's 2nd Birthday and had a great time. It was all about Elmo and the birthday girl was decked out in her Elmo Dress. The kids had a great time and Anna loved all of the goodies she got. Aly gave her some fun markers and some Elmo stickers. The parents had a great time too especially gathering the group for a photo. Last year it was easier to prop up the kids - this year it was 1,2,3 quick... What a great time.

17 months - and the camera died

Well - I can say I tried to take pictures of Pants and her pupperlove but when the battery fails - it fails... And when it's crazy and you lose the battery charger, you just have to laugh. So this is all you get - A picture of the back of Aly's head and a picture of the puppers. We have been quite a busy family running after Miss Aly. Since graduating to the Toddler 1 room at daycare, she has become quite talkative and expressive to say the least. She supposedly a star while we are gone but it is like the devil turns on when she gets home - it's Aly's way or the highway. So it's been a ton of fun the past few weeks. We keep trying new things hoping she is just bored of the same ole stuff.

So the something new was a trip on Saturday to Petco - where the Maddie puppy goes. Pants and Pup wanted to pick up a fish tank for Dorothy - and a tank she got plus 5 friends: Huey, Dewey, Louie, Bert and Ernie. Both Pup and Pants love the new tank and that was the picture I was going for tonight. But - suspense will keep you coming back.

Getting ready to celebrate some fun stuff this weekend - Anna Rae's 2nd b-day is wed with a party on Sunday and Maddie will be 8 on Sunday. Somebody is getting excited for cake... Including me. Puppers no begging!!!
