Alexander Paul Mattson arrives

Well my cousin Alex arrived and in true Gopher Spirit.

On Thursday night, Julie called me at 9:33 just post the big Gopher win over St. Cloud in the 1st game of the WCHA final five(the Gophers - underdogs for the year - beat Mankato the week prior in 3 OT games to get to the tourney). Her water broke, grandmas were on call and off to the hospital they went. Alex came fast - 11:59pm and only appropriate he was named after his dad and grandpa Oldy both huge Gopher Fans.

We're pleased to announce the arrival of our little guy, Alexander Paul Mattson. Alex arrived at 11:59 PM on Thursday, March 20. He weighed in at 7 lbs, 11 ounces and measured 21 inches. We arrived at the hospital around 9:30 on Thursday night, so it was a very fast (but painful) labor.
Alex is a great baby and mom & dad are just trying to rest up before heading home this afternoon.

Aly and Josh - Happy St. Pattys Day

Happy St. Pattys Day. Mom, Dad, Maddie and I went up to see Jason, Becky and baby Josh. Already 6 wks old and he is growing like a week - already 11lbs (half my weight). We celebrated Becky's Birthday (which was on my 16th month b-day 3/14) with a great dinner and some yummy cake.

Mommy and Becky let me hold Josh with the aid of the boppy. How much fun.

16 Months

Here I am with my Dora helmet at 16 months. I have graduated to the Toddler room at daycare where I drink from a real cup and sleep on a cot. My 1st week had me napping for over 3 hours 1 day. WOW!!!

Here I am practicing to be a ballerina. Sandy and Steve Berkey gave me this adorable outfit for my birthday and here I am!!!

A visit from Papa Noble

Papa Noble came to MN to visit me. He had some work in MN and IA and was able to take a few days to spend with the family. What a fun time we had. He played Play-doh with me - my new favorite toy I learned from my cousin Anna.

Papa and Daddy were busy over the weekend. They built new pullout shelves for the pots and pans which mommy loves. A great weekend for a bunch of wildhogs:)
